Day White® is a specialized take-home whitening treatment which has been designed for use during daytime hours. Day White® offers an excellent alternative for people who would like to have a brighter smile, but do not relish the prospect of wearing strips or whitening trays all night long. In fact, the Day White® treatment will only take one hour per day, and is substantially less expensive than some in-office alternatives like Zoom.
Nite White® is an extremely user-friendly home treatment that the patient wears at night while they are sleeping. Some people are unable to wear trays during the day because of their work or school. Needless to say, talking while wearing bleaching splints is virtually impossible and can be messy.
Same amazing ACP formulas
These take-home whitening formulas contain ACP (amorphous calcium phosphate), a patented technology developed by the ADA. This science, combined with potassium nitrate and fluoride is why NiteWhite and DayWhite do so much more than just whiten. These unique formulas reduce sensitivity, rebuild enamel, fill in surface defects and whiten, giving patients a more positive experience all around. Dr. Bonin can help you decide which medication best suits your needs and tailor you a personal and successful home bleaching program.

What are the main considerations before using Day White and Nite White®?
It should be noted that these bleaches should only be applied to healthy teeth. Patients who have tooth decay or gum disease need to have these conditions treated prior to applying these gels. Please schedule and keep your routine cleaning and exam appointments.
Here are some important points to remember:
-
Once the gel is on the teeth, do not smoke, eat or drink.
-
Consult Dr. Bonin before ordering refills.
-
Pregnant and lactating women should not use tooth-whitening products.
-
ASK ABOUT OUR FREE BLEACH PROGRAM!
Whitening will occur gradually over the course of treatment. It's hard to predict how often you will need to "touch-up" and re-whiten your smile. I encourage patients to play around with it, go as long as they can between bleaches and determine that unique time zone when the shade begins to change back. Some patients have to "touch-up" every few weeks, others only once or twice a year.
If you have any questions about home bleaching and these medications, please talk to Dr. Bonin about them on your next visit.
